FAMILY AND PRIVATE BUSINESS AWARDS HONOREE
University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business Goering Center for Family and Private Business honors Crescent as part of its 23rd annual awards.
CINCINNATI, Ohio — Sept. 13, 2022 — Crescent has been honored with an award from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business Goering Center for Family and Private Business. The annual Goering Center awards event recognizes successful family and privately-owned businesses that are critical to the sustained vibrancy of Greater Cincinnati’s economy. Crescent is people-centric, creative change is part of its operational psyche and history, and Taylor family members pragmatically discovered and carefully perfected best practices in servicing customers for nearly two centuries. Today, Crescent is a premier service provider in Contract Packaging and Parts Fulfillment whose people are well-prepared to take Crescent to new heights, delivering on their promise to become community-focused, provide a path forward for key customers, and strengthen their competitive advantage. Over the course of its 170-year history, premier contract packaging and parts fulfillment company Crescent has prioritized its people. That focus hasn’t wavered, and under the guidance and leadership of fifth generation owner and founder Chris Taylor, Crescent’s people have made an art form out of living its cultural values of “Do it Right, Do it Safe, and Do it Well,” propelling Crescent to new heights in the process. The annual Goering Center Family and Private Business Awards showcases the unique successes of Greater Cincinnati’s family and private businesses that adapted best business practices while contributing to our economic and community growth. This annual recognition program is in its 23rd year and typically honors Cincinnati regional businesses that exemplify the best in family and private business practices. This year, the awards criteria focused specifically on the power of company culture and its impact on employees, clients, customers, vendors, and the community. Crescent was evaluated by an independent panel of judges and was selected as one of only ten honorees to receive this prestigious award.
There are an estimated 4,500 family and private businesses in the Cincinnati region, more than 400 of which are members of the Goering Center for Family and Private Business. However, membership to the Goering Center is not a prerequisite for the awards or for nomination, making this an even more powerful statement and achievement for Crescent.
